World Migratory Bird Day

Join The Friends of LLELA Saturday, May 9 to celebrate the World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD): “Every Bird Counts.” WMBD is an annual awareness-raising campaign highlighting the need for the conservation of migratory birds and their habitats. This year’s theme highlights the roles that all of us, as observers of the natural world, can play in understanding and conserving migratory and native birds, and their vital natural habitats.

This year’s event will feature a live raptor presentation from the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center, plus many activities for everyone to enjoy! - Guided bird walks, hands-on demonstrations, birding and nature apps, crafts and games for kids, and exhibits from local partners.
