Celebrate a night of Bats with Us!

Join us for a special evening dedicated to our fascinating flying friends to highlight the importance of preserving bat species and to celebrate their unique role in nature.

Learn about the incredible world of bats, discover why they are so important, bust common myths, and fall in love with these nocturnal wonders. Also, learn more about the collaborative 5-year citizen science project launched in 2024 by Texas Nature Trackers (part of Texas Parks & Wildlife) along with local Texas Master Naturalist. The project tracks bat distribution and behavior statewide to support conservation efforts and feed Texas' data into the North American Bat Monitoring Program (NABAT).   

Experience the magic of the night with a talk and walk led by Elm Fork Chapter Texas Master Naturalists. They will bring their bat acoustic monitoring devices which will help us detect the presence of our only flying mammals.
