Information on the renovations planned for the Old Town Aquatic Park.

Old Town Splash Park is located at 535 W College Street (behind Wayne Frady Park).

Old Town Aquatic Park opened in June 2005. While the facility was enjoyed by many of our residents, over the years participation and revenue have declined, while expenses continue to increase. In March 2020, at the onset of the COVID pandemic the City had to evaluate expenditures and the decision was made to not open Old Town Aquatic Park for the summer of 2020. The year of 2021 presented some additional challenges with the Winter Snow Storm and a lifeguard shortage. Due to all of these challenges, the City team put their heads together to re-image how we can continue to offer an aquatic experience in Wayne Frady Park, while being judicious with City funds.

The Parks & Recreation team engaged Kimley-Horn to help re-imagine the existing facility into a splash park.
