The Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) and City of Lewisville are teaming up to make sure that all residents live within a 10 minute walk of a park or open space. As of June 1, 2020 seven* schoolyard sites are open for residents to use as parks during out of school days and times. Both LISD and the City recognize the benefits that kids and their families can realize by being outdoors playing and experiencing nature. We ask that everyone help us protect this partnership and opportunity by being good stewards of these parks, following the guidelines for us and leaving them all better than you find them.
As these parks will be shared spaces, there will be a few special guidelines and rules for use.
- Parents/Guardians are responsible for their child(ren) at all times
- Park may not be used when in use by school
- Keep your park clean - throw your trash in bins
- No vehicles are allowed on the grass or in the park
- May not be used for non-school related organized sports
