The nature park consists of a concrete perimeter trail and a soft surface interior trail. The park will also have wayfinding signage, picnic areas, outdoor classrooms, nature play areas, pollinator meadows, and a bird blind. The Parks and Recreation Department is working with Texas Master Naturalists in Denton County to nurture the native flora and fauna in the nature park. Located on the Southeast corner of S Valley Pkwy and Corporate Dr., adjacent to the new Thrive Multigenerational Recreation Center. The 23 acre park features native Texas forest and prairie with trails and opportunities for environmental education and play.
Thrive Nature Park was built with the assistance of a Local Park Grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to leverage city funds from the 4B Sales Tax, General and city funds. Future phases of development for the park will occur as funding becomes available. Use this link to Learn more about the ultimate vision for the park.
