Experience the beauty of nature at your own pace with A Chance to Hike, a guided nature walk designed for people of all abilities and their families. This inclusive program provides a welcoming and accessible outdoor experience along the wide, level, crushed-granite surface of the Cottonwood Trail at Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA).
Led by knowledgeable guides, participants will have the opportunity to engage their senses, observe local wildlife, and connect with nature in a safe and supportive environment. Along the way, we may spot tracks and signs of native animals like deer, coyotes, and bobcats—or even catch a glimpse of an armadillo!
This free program fosters a love for the outdoors while promoting physical activity, social engagement, and relaxation in a natural setting. Whether you’re an experienced nature lover or new to outdoor adventures, A Chance to Hike offers an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all.
