Lewisville WAVE Swim Team

The Lewisville WAVE Swim Team is open to all swimmers (ages 5+) who wish to swim during the summer. This seasonal program is for individuals who are not involved in a year round private competitive swimming organization.

The summer season is fast paced, high energy, and geared towards those looking to develop better strokes, improve technique, or reach personal goals. The seasonal coaching staff will be available to assist in all aspects of the swim team experience and will maintain a positive learning environment throughout the season.

The Wave swim team will be held in summer 2026. A tryout will be held in advance of signing up for the team. Signups for tryouts will be available in the spring. Tryouts will be held at Thrive the week of May 4-9.

Practices

All practices take place at Sun Valley Aquatic Center.
Practice Schedule is determined by age group.

Eligibility
Registration and Fees

Males and Females Ages 5 – Adult
Age Groups: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-17, 18-24, 25-39, 40 & up
Age groups are determined by the swimmer's age as of June 1, 2026.

Any swimmer age 14 and under, registered with USA Swimming for 2025, will be ineligible to participate.
Swimmers must be able to easily swim one (1) length of the pool (25 yards) without stopping. This is not a swim lesson class.

Who can participate?

Any swimmer over the age of 5 (Age is determined as of June 1, 2026). A swimmer is defined as a person comfortably able to swim a length of the pool, not stopping with rhythmic breathing. If you would like an evaluation before signing up, please contact the Aquatics Team.
Participants must not have been a USA Swimmer in the past year.
Participants must provide a copy of their birth certificate or driver's license.
